When and why did you first get into running?

I used to say that I was "not a runner", I just thought my body wasn't built for running because running never came easy to me, I could never break past that 5km mark. Last October I was over in Hawaii watching the World Iron Man and I got so inspired that I decided to that I wanted to set a goal, enter a race and earn the satisfaction of smashing it!

What ASICS shoe are you currently running in and how are you finding it?
I run in the ASICS Kayanos, I love them! As a "toe-striking" runner these give me sufficient support at the front of my foot, which I have struggled to find with other shoes.

Favourite place to run and why?
I love a good trail run through the forest or in the country and being immersed in nature, a perfect way to clear your head.

Favourite genre to run to and favourite song?
I’m guilty of an early 2000s throwback, give me anything All Saints or Sugababes.

Best running tip?
Run with a friend or join a run club! Not only will this hold you accountable, but from experience, running with people can help you run further and faster than you could running by yourself.

When and why did you first get into running?

I first got into running in high school to help my fitness for both Hockey and Volleyball. Also found it to be such a good way to clear the head and release some stress!

What ASICS shoe are you currently running in and how are you finding it?
I’m running in the ASICS GT-2000 — they are a super comfy and lightweight runner for short/medium distances which I love!

Favourite place to run and why?
Hagley Park is always great, otherwise I love adventuring out to Waimairi Beach or if I’m up for a challenge — Godley Head.

Favourite genre to run to and favourite song?
2000’s pop, love a bit of Top 40.

Best running tip?
The first 3-5 runs are always the worst! Stick with it, once you get through those you will find running a lot more enjoyable and you can start to see progress and change in your fitness. Signing up for an event is a good way to be accountable and get started!

When and why did you first get into running?

We started an office challenge last November, so I've been into it since then!

What ASICS shoe are you currently running in and how are you finding it?
GT-2000 8, big fan. It's got a good amount of cushioning, so your feet & knees don't get sore. It feels really smooth and light on all kinds of runs. Also, it's triple black can't go wrong with that!

Favourite place to run and why?
Hagley Park, there's so many different paths and tracks to keep it interesting.

Favourite genre to run to and favourite song?
I typically run to podcasts, I find it passes the time better on longer runs.

Best running tip?
Use an app to track your runs. It's motivating to see your progress and times.

When and why did you first get into running?
I first got into running in high school and was then off and on until a couple of years ago. Some friends and I did the Queenstown half (so beautiful would definitely recommend as a first half!) and since then running has been a pretty consistent part of my routine. It’s also a great way to get out and clear the head.

What ASICS shoe are you currently running in and how are you finding it?
I’m running in the ASICS GT-1000 and loving it. They’re super light and definitely the most comfortable running shoe I’ve ran in. My foot tends to roll over a bit so these are great as they’re built for people who over pronate!

Favourite place to run and why?
Hagley park has always been my go to! I love running on paths or roads so its perfect for that. There are also always heaps of people running Hagley and I find that really motivating seeing how many of us are out them smashing some km’s.

Favourite genre to run to and favourite song?
Definitely a fan of some hip hop. Give me some Travis Scott or Kanye and we’re on!
Money In The Grave – Drake ft. Rick Ross

Best running tip?
If you’re debating whether to go for a run or not – the hardest part is putting on and lacing up your shoes. Also, think of all those post run endorphins you’ll get!
