ADIDAS SAMBA OG

With the football world cup just around the corner, it's no surprise that we are seeing a flurry of football inspired sneakers hitting the shelves. Hey, I didn't say I was complaining!

The Adidas Samba OG is one of those pairs, originally released in 1950 for football players training on the hard and icy fields in Europe; the shoe has since become a wardrobe staple. Wikipedia says that its sold 35 million worldwide (which must be true) with only the Stan Smith selling more pairs for the three stripes.

I find the fit similar to the Gazelle, I love the way they wrap around your foot for a snug fit with good arch support and that suede overlay toe detail is a nice touch. Aesthetically you can't go wrong with either of the monochrome options finished off of course with that iconic gum sole.

I'm rocking them here with some white socks and cropped pants to keep that monochrome vibe but I can see myself switching it up with some selvedge denim next wear.

When it comes to heritage football inspired sneakers its hard to mess with the three stripes!
